By Resident Partner Ronin Theatre Company & All Queer Shakespeare
In Proud Celebration of Queer and Irish Storytelling Traditions
The Irish have always cherished stories of resistance, loyalty, and finding family in unexpected places and in that spirit, the Irish Cultural Center is proud to host the Arizona premiere of Six Rounds of Vengeance, a bold, genre-defying play by Vietnamese-American playwright Qui Nguyen.
Set in a mythic, post-apocalyptic “Lost Vegas,” this fast-paced production follows Jess December, a one-armed gunslinger on a quest to avenge her sister’s death. With the help of a mysterious cowboy, she must face supernatural enemies and reckon with what it takes to survive. Beneath the stylized combat and comic-book grit lies a timeless story about love, chosen family, and reclaiming power.
A co-production between Ronin Theatre Company and All Queer Shakespeare, this project reflects the Irish Cultural Center’s ongoing commitment to hosting bold, inclusive art that bridges tradition and innovation. As a space that has long been a friend to the LGBTQ+ community, the Center is honored to welcome this collaboration between two of Arizona’s most exciting independent theater companies.
This Arizona premiere brings together a diverse local cast, thrilling fight choreography, and heartfelt storytelling in a unique blend of Western, fantasy, and classical themes. With Ronin Theatre Company as the Irish Cultural Center’s resident partner, this production continues their tradition of presenting bold, innovative work that reflects a wide range of voices and genres.
The show runs less than two hours, with a 15-minute intermission.
There will also be a local Irish, Queer Boutique which supports the theater at intermission, themed drinks, and more!
Please note the show will have violence on stage, in the form of guns, swords, found weapons, staged blood, death, and more.
